The "obi-makura" is an essential tool for creating a neat shape to the obi at the back. It is used to securely fix the upper part of a square-shaped obi knot or to secure decorative obi styles like those for furisode. When tying the obi, it is wrapped with a favorite color obi-age.
This tool is also exclusive to women's kimono and NOT used for yukata.
