Rental Rules, Deposit ＆ Cancellation Policy
Rentals are include kimono, obi (sash), zouri (sandals), nagajuban (under shirt) and erishin , accessories for obi (obiage, obijime, obiita, obimakura, sanjuukarihimo), ropes (koshihimo, datejime). Hair accessories.
Please return all the above. If you lose anything we may require compensation in the price of brand-new.
There is no cleaning charge within range of normal wear. However, in the case of irreparable stains (food, oil, tea, wine, permanent pen, blood etc) or damage (rip cigarette burns, etc), we may require compensation in the amount $100.
Rental is 48hours. Those who wish to extend the time will be charged an additional fee of $30 per day.
Please drop off the return at the Hawkwood studio. If you are unable to do so, I can pick it up for a fee.
*Deposit Policy
To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of approximately 30% of the total estimated cost is required.
The deposit will be applied toward your final payment and retained as a cancellation fee if the booking is canceled.
Exact deposit amount will be provided after we confirm the total cost including any applicable travel fees.
*Cancellation Policy
In the unfortunate event a booking is cancelled by the renter.
If cancelled 7 days in advance, the renter will receive a 100% refund of the deposit.
If cancelled 2 days in advance, the renter will receive a 50% refund of deposit.
If cancelled 1 day in advance or less, no refund will be given.
*Outdoor Photo Session Weather Policy
Outdoor photo sessions may be rescheduled at no additional charge due to unsafe weather conditions, including:
Heavy rain
Thunderstorms
Strong wind
Poor air quality caused by wildfire smoke
Other conditions that may affect safety or photo quality
The decision to postpone a session will be made by CHICHI KIMONO and the photographer.
Up to two weather-related reschedules are provided at no additional charge. A third or any subsequent weather-related reschedule will incur a $50 administrative rescheduling fee. All rescheduled sessions are subject to the availability of the photographer, dressing staff, and kimono.
(Photographer fees and policies are separate and may vary depending on the photographer.)
Rescheduled sessions should be completed within 60 days of the original booking date.
*Early Morning Appointment Fees
Appointments scheduled before 9 AM are subject to an early morning fee.
6:00 AM – 8:00 AM $30
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM $20
